Kimi No Na Wa: Taki & Mitsuha

Recently, I talked about and gave a review on the successful and wonderful movie Kimi No Na Wa (Your Name). I simply felt like talking a bit more about it, because the characters are so enjoyable! I will not be able to talk THAT much about them though, since that will be too long of a blogpost. I won't give my opinion either like I usually do because I have already done it in the review (if you're curious of my thoughts, check out the review!).

Today, Character of The Week is the main characters in the story; Taki and Mitsuha. I suppose I will start with Taki and then Mitsuha.
Who is your favourite out of the two of them?

Taki Tachibana is the male protagonist in the movie.

Appearance-wise, Taki is a young man with an average build and height who is noted for being handsome. He has spiky, nape-length brown hair with bangs covering his forehead and dark blue eyes. At times, he is seen wearing band-aids because of his impulsive personality.

Personality-wise, Taki is generally a kind, hardworking and caring individual. He is also helpful, responsible, and level-headed. Although he is organized and mostly handles everything quite nicely, his busy lifestyle and creative side; being interested in architecture and art and having artistic abilities, can come off as unorganized but hardworking. He can also sometimes be persistent, and may even be called sensitive towards others as he is quick to anger. This causes him to come off as impatient and stubborn, as he is shown with a bandage on his face the first time Mitsuha wakes up in his body, which suggests that he was injured in a fight.

Mitsuha Miyamizu is the female protagonist in the movie.

Appearance-wise, Mitsuha is a very beautiful teenage girl who has the spitting image of her late mother. Mitsuha has straight, upper-back length black hair which she wears in a unique hair-do; two braids on each side tied into a small ponytail with a red, blue and yellow-orange-colored braided cord and brown eyes. She has an average build and height.

Personality-wise, Mitsuha is a kind, caring, organized and supportive girl who is also determined and sometimes persistent, frank, as well as adventurous. She is tired of her close-knit lifestyle in the small and rural town of Itomori, and as so she is also flaky and uninterested in her family's traditions and wishes to explore outside of her hometown. This is why when she starts switching bodies with Taki, she appreciates every small thing in his life and makes the best out of it. She also becomes enamored with Tokyo city.

The Black-Haired Woman: Chiyuki

For this Character of the Week , I chose my favourite female protagonist ever. However, there will be heavy spoilers in this one, so beware if you have not seen the anime Death Parade yet! Her name in the anime is never revealed until the very end, and she has black hair with a tiny white strand on the right side, so she has always been known as The Black-Haired Woman (or, in Japanese, 黒髪の女 [Kurokami no Onna]). To fans, she is sometimes referred to as Onna , which means "woman" in Japanese. Her real name is Chiyuki , though her surname is unknown. The series followed Decim , the main character and the bartender of Quindecim , but the way Decim judges souls changes completely and the story makes a turn when the mysterious woman shows up at the bar. Corpse Party & Sachiko Shinozaki

Before starting with the Character of the Week, I would like to give background because I absolutely LOVE Corpse Party. It is so unique and, when I discovered it, unlike anything I had seen before! So, what is it? Corpse Party (in Japanese, コープスパーティー Kōpusu Pātī ) is a series of several things; Video games, anime OVA, manga works, drama CDs and live action films. Darling In The FranXX: 02

Today's "Character of the Week", I decided to include one of the main characters from the anime Darling In The FranXX, a short anime I really fancy. I will be talking about none other than Zero Two, or 002, the main heroine and the deuteragonist. Darling in the FranXX is a short (It has 1 season containing 24 episodes) Sci-Fi, Mecha, Action & Romance anime that premiered in winter 2018, airing from January 13th to July 7th 2018.
