Who's That Pokémon?: Abomasnow

I have had a little idea a long time for the blog now, for all the Pokémon lovers, and it is called "Who's That Pokémon?". This will become a category, and on this category, you can read and learn about the over 700 Pokémons that exists in their universe! I myself love Pokémon so I thought it could be fun to write about it every week, just like my category "Character of the Week" (where I write about anime/manga characters). I hope this turns out like I've imagined! Bear in mind though that these posts will not be as long as my usual posts, as I will only display information about the Pokémon.

First up, the Pokémon Abomasnow!

Abomasnow is a Frost Tree Pokémon, an Ice- and Grasstype Pokémon who suits best in the snowy mountains, which is also where you can find the Pokémon in the Kalos region. You can also find it in Sinnoh, Unova, Galar and other regions, but it is kind of rare to be able to find it when you have to approach its surroundings and nests at a certain point in time, weather and season. It is said that it creates snowstorms to hide itself and to keep others away. It is also known as the "Ice Monster".

As you can see in the picture above, Abomasnow is quite the large Pokémon in size; it is 2,2 meters tall and weighs 135,5 kg. But, it has evolutions! Abomasnow is an evolution of the Pokémon Snover, and if you use a certain Mega stone on Abomasnow, you shall recieve a Mega Evolution Abomasnow, that is more powerful with its 2,7 meters tall and 185 kg! It is covered in white and green-ish sticky fur, and the fur is covering its mouth and chest (on females, the chest fur is longer). The fur is also spiky at its hands and feet.

The techniques Abomasnow can learn is Ice Punch, Powder Snow, Leer, Razor Leaf, Icy Wind, Grass Whistle, Swagger, Mist, Ice Shard, Ingrain, Wood Hammer, Blizzard and Sheer Cold. This is a Pokémon that has a lot of weaknesses though, as it is not immune to any Type and weak to many. Abomasnow may be strong but remember to use it at your own risk so it does not get knocked out by a sudden death in battle!

80's J-Pop: Miki Matsubara

Album cover for Miki Matsubara's "Stay With Me". Miki Matsubara , or Suzie Matsubara [as she also went by], was a composer, lyricist and singer from Japan. She was known for her 80's J-Pop love songs, but really became famous after her debut single, " Stay With Me ", was released in November 1979. I'm sure many of you have heard this song, and I'm a fan of this talented woman myself, thus I decided to write about her. Early Life Miki Matsubara was born 28th of November 1959 in Osaka ( Kishiwada ), Japan. She grew up with a father, mother and younger sister in Hiraoka Town . Miki quickly became familiar with jazz music, as her mother was a jazz singer. She started playing piano at an outstandingly young age of 3 and simply embraced music in general, not only jazz but also rock. She went to ordinary schools her whole childhood and was praised as being a great and hardworking student who would enroll into university, but Miki had already dreams of beco...

The Black-Haired Woman: Chiyuki

For this Character of the Week , I chose my favourite female protagonist ever. However, there will be heavy spoilers in this one, so beware if you have not seen the anime Death Parade yet! Her name in the anime is never revealed until the very end, and she has black hair with a tiny white strand on the right side, so she has always been known as The Black-Haired Woman (or, in Japanese, 黒髪の女 [Kurokami no Onna]). To fans, she is sometimes referred to as Onna , which means "woman" in Japanese. Her real name is Chiyuki , though her surname is unknown. The series followed Decim , the main character and the bartender of Quindecim , but the way Decim judges souls changes completely and the story makes a turn when the mysterious woman shows up at the bar. As she has no idea how or why she came there, she became Decim´s assistant at the bar and started helping him with the lost souls that comes frequently to the place, just like the black-haired woman. When you die, you arriv...
