Steins; Gate - Kurisu Makise

Steins; Gate is a Thriller, Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi game & anime series from year 2011, created by the animated studio White Fox star on 5pb. and Nitroplus 2009 visual novel of the same name, and is part of the Science Adventure series along with Chaos; Head and robotics; Notes. It has only one season, so it's the perfect treat for those who prefers that. Time to talk about Kurisu Makise , one of the main characters in Steins; Gate! Like said, Kurisu is one of the female protagonists in the series, a major posthumous character. Personality : Kurisu is generally a sensible, mature, serious young woman, usually calm and collected even when someone is acting tense in front of her. She can however show a much more timid side at times. Kurisu is also practical and a realist, almost to a fault; she initially firmly believes that time machines are fiction and refuses to believe the Phonewave is one even after seeing it in action, claiming that Rintaro Okabe (the main male protagonist)...

Who's That Pokémon?: Ampharos

Who's that Pokémon? It is Ampharos ! Ampharos is known as the Light Pokémon, as it is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. This Pokémon has four evolutions: Mareep, Flaaffy, Ampharos and Mega Ampharos (Mega Ampharos is an Electric-, Dragon-type). Its height is 1,4 meters and its weight is 61,5 kg. Ampharos shines so bright that its light can be seen from a far distance. A long time ago, humans used this light to send signals and messages from afar.  Its strongest attack is probably Volt Switch. This Pokémon is not Immune to any Type, but it is only Weak against Ground Types, and is Resistant against Steel-, Electric- and Flying-Types of Pokémon. Now THIS is a Pokémon I absolutely love to use! Very often, you will find an Ampharos in my main party. Its cute and powerful; what more could you ask for?

You can acquire the language quickly, even if you live outside of Japan and don't have access to native speakers. Using the right tools and resources is the key to faster and more effective learning, so in this blog post, I'll introduce 7 YouTube channels to supplement your Japanese studies! These channels provide informative and entertaining content, and I'll include channels in a variety of categories, so that there's something for everyone! In no particular order, here they are: 1. The Black-Haired Woman: Chiyuki

For this Character of the Week , I chose my favourite female protagonist ever. However, there will be heavy spoilers in this one, so beware if you have not seen the anime Death Parade yet! Her name in the anime is never revealed until the very end, and she has black hair with a tiny white strand on the right side, so she has always been known as The Black-Haired Woman (or, in Japanese, 黒髪の女 [Kurokami no Onna]). To fans, she is sometimes referred to as Onna , which means "woman" in Japanese. Her real name is Chiyuki , though her surname is unknown. The series followed Decim , the main character and the bartender of Quindecim , but the way Decim judges souls changes completely and the story makes a turn when the mysterious woman shows up at the bar. As she has no idea how or why she came there, she became Decim´s assistant at the bar and started helping him with the lost souls that comes frequently to the place, just like the black-haired woman. When you die, you arriv...

Valentine's Day & White Day

We all know that on February 14th, it is Valentine's Day, which has already passed. At Valentine's Day, the girls traditionally share their feelings of love with chocolates. But in not only Japan but also South Korea and a handful other countries is there a holiday called "White Day". Ever heard of it? If not, I shall briefly explain what it is! White Day is a day, a chance, for the boys to show their devotion, and it is usually homemade chocolates as well, but it can also be gifts like jewelry or marshmallows. Why marshmallows in particular is because "White Day" was originally called "Marshmallow Day". Anyways, the holiday occurs exactly one month after Valentine's, at March 14th. In Japan, this day is a very celebrated day. It is much like Valentine's Day except that, as I said, White Day is only celebrated in a couple East Asian countries; Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Vietnam. Fun fact: There is also a ga...

Catherine: Full Body

Catherine is a platform- and adventure game made by ATLUS and Studio Zero , and it is about an earnest and kind 32-year-old man named Vincent Brooks. He has been with his girlfriend, Katherine McBride, for several years now; she's fully committed to the relationship, while Vincent is not, and this leads to a messy affair with another girl who's far more carefree and tempting... and her name is also Catherine! How will Vincent fix the situation? Well, this is also a choice-making game, so the choice you make will determine Vincent's inner ideas and the ending of the story. So, what exactly is Catherine: Full Body ? Catherine: Full Body is a remake (some like to call it a sequel) of the original, Catherine! Catherine: Full Body was released for the PlayStation 4 in the beginning of year 2019, but in summer 2020 got released for the Nintendo Switch, which gave me a chance to finally play this game and enjoy it without having to look at gameplays on YouTube and miss out on al...

One Punch Man's Saitama

One Punch Man is an Action-Comedy-Superhero manga and anime series, with the manga being first released 2009 and the anime 2015. The series became quickly popular and went viral even, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012. "The story follows the life of an average hero named Saitama who manages to win all of his fights with just one punch. This ends up being the cause of a lot of frustration as he no longer feels the thrill and adrenaline he once felt in battle. After all, what's so good about having overwhelming power?" Saitama is the main protagonist in the series. He describes himself as "just an average guy who serves as an average hero", but he is one of the most overpowered characters ever. Do not be fooled by his nice appearance and humble personality; when he is ready to strike, he strikes harder than anyone! So far, no enemy has been able to injure him in any way, and almost no enemy is even able to survive from a single earnest punch ...

Who's That Pokémon?: Amoonguss

Who's that Pokémon? It is Amoonguss !     Amoonguss is a Grass- and Poison-type Pokémon, and because of its mushroom-like appearance, it also is known for being a Mushroom Pokémon. It's the evulotion of the Pokémon Foongus, who also has the resemblance of a mushroom. Another thing about Amoonguss' appearance is that it looks awfully a lot like a Pokéball, which it uses to its advantage to try to lure others into thinking that it's an actual Pokéball, only for them to attack when their prey gets close enough. It is a small Pokémon (0,6 meters tall) so one might actually believe the illusion. This Pokémon is fairly new, being introduced in Generation V, so places you might find it is in Unova Region or in the mountains of Kalos Region. Amoonguss is not Immune against anything, and is Weak against Fire-, Flying-, Ice- and Psychic-types of Pokémon. However, it is Resistant to Grass-, Water-, Fighting-, Fairy- and Electric-types of Pokémon. The moves Amoonguss can learn are...

Who is Rilakkuma?

Who is Rilakkuma? Rilakkuma is a fictional character made by Aki Kondo and is a popular mascot in Japan. Its name, Rilakkuma, means "relax bear" or "bear in relaxed mood" in Japanese: Rilakkuma is an adorable, soft, brown-coloured toy bear who is very lazy and relaxed all the time. True to his name, it enjoys sleeping, watching television and simply laying around. It also likes to eat; favourite foods are dango, custard pudding, pancakes... sweet stuff, basically. Rilakkuma popped up one day at a woman's apartment and decides to stay there, building a bond and friendship with Kaoru , the female office worker who otherwise lives a ordinary life. Eventually, Korilakkuma (a white bear) and Kiiroitori (a yellow chicken), two other fictional characters, appears and plays a role as Rilakkuma's friends. They begin to live at Kaoru's place as well. If you're interested in seeing all of them in action and living their lives, there's a Netflix series a...

Love and Lies (Koi to Uso)

Yukari is dull. He does not even stand out enough to be bullied - he is just a generally lower-middle-class kid. He is in love with Misaki Takasaki, the most popular girl in school. There is just one problem: He is 15 years old, one year away from receiving his government-assigned marriage partner. He normally would not have the courage to defy the law, but his sickly classmate Ririna Sanada still believes in love, and will not stop goading him into confessing his feelings! Above: The 1st and 2nd manga cover of Love & Lies. Love and Lies (in Japanese, Koi to Uso) is a manga that released its first chapter year 2014, so it is kind of an old manga, but I suddenly felt the urge to write about it, despite not remembering a lot of things. Anyhow, the manga is a School-Drama-Romance story, written and illustrated by Musawo Tsumugi . The series gained popularity quickly, which created an anime adaption and even a live-action film, so you can always watch the anime if you are not into rea...

Plastic Memories (in Japanese, プラスティック・メモリーズ ), also known as Pla-Memo (in Japanese, プラメモ ), is a short Romance-Sci-Fi-Drama anime series with 13 episodes, produced by Doga Kobo. The story is set by Naotaka Hayashi, who in turn also wrote the script with original character design by Okiura. The series was originally broadcast in Japan between April 5th and June 28th 2015. The android production company SAI Corp. produce Giftia, a type of android that has the emotion and human-like qualities out of any other model ever seen. However, due to problems in technology, the androids have limited service years, and once they pass that, they will deteriorate and turn into wanderers.
